Final Post 2011

What a fantastic year of Blogging 2011 has been!  Who would have thought that so many people would have taken the time to visit my site, just look at those stats:

and to have received over 5,000 comments, further blows me away and I would like to especially thank so many of my consistant commenters, for thier tolerance with some of my theme infringements..

If you would like to have a look at what I am up to in the future, Please check out:

http://danudindownunder.com/

Where I will Post, one or more renditions, of my 52 themes, as I can find or invent, as well as any others that I like – Freestyle.  In addition to this though there will be a number of “word only” posts, as I would like to see what reaction I get to several topics that worry me about life today. Overall I will attempt to maintain the sense of Humour that has become my Hallmark. I guess for a lot that will be reason to stay away!

FT New Years Eve

These were taken a few days ago to counter yesterday’s bird shots and it went all wrong but came out brilliantly to Farewell the Year. Flittering Fruit Bats or Flying Foxes (as I call them) and the first shot was far from satisfatory, so when I took the second image I noticed the sliver of Moon and changed the whole focus of my outing. I think Mother Nature has painted a lovely canvas with which to farewell 2011, what do you think?

Please also note that I am using my New Logo for the first time with this post!

FT Feathery Visitors

Tammy has already thrown it in my face that Her Christmas Visitor was more splendid than my Huntsman Spider so I see her Bald Eagle and raise her a whole Bevy of lorrikeets, Two Varieties in fact! Rainbow and Scaly Breasted, I will admit however that they are everyday visitors not just at Christmas but for me that makes them even more special! LOL

The object that got their attention in the last image was Sally coming home after feeding a Neighbours Cat!

Hey remember that monstrosity that the Moreton Regional Council erected in Redcliffe to make it look beautiful? Well it moves and here is proof so obviously it was worth a quarter million bucks – Dja Think?

FT Handy Thing

Here is a Handy Thing I saw walking around Venus’ Boutique, The Addams must have sold it in the current economic climate, (A Confederate Dollar doesn’t stretch as far as it did).

FT Wish you a Smelly Christmas

Sally became really excited when she saw this White Agapanthas in her Garden (She says they are difficult to get blooming) but said the near wilting ones were past their prime  but then gushed this one will be in flower soon, so I apologize in advance that I will be posting yet another smelly before the year is out! Smelly Christmas All.

FT Unwelcome Christmas Eve Visitor

Settling down to watch some TV last night, I noticed the cat moving quickly (an unusual  occurence) so I got up with alacrity to rescue the gecko I thought she was chasing. Turns out it was a Huntsman Spider maybe 5 inches across. Sally as a card carrying Arachniphobe fled to the far end of the lounge room as I followed the two critters into the bathroom, wouldn’t even fetch my camera! Had to get it myself. As he scrabbled up to the roof I grabbed the Nikon and Voila! I then got a spaghetti storage unit for the capture and transfer back out into the great outdoors, so Sally would get some sleep before Santa made his visit.

Merry Christmas on Christmas Morn

This is the Guy I suspect of breaking into our house and leaving me a shirt, as Patsy guessed he would (among other Goodies) So as this is Christmas Morning I will wish you all a Merry and Safe Christmas, and wish prosperity in the New Year upon Ye All!

Rabbi Burns was right!

My intention with this composition was to rub it in, to all those enduring a White Christmas! As our Christmas’ are normally stiffling affairs that merit more a salad than a roast dinner! However the Scottish Prelate has struck yet again and the plans of this Man or Wee Timorous Beastie have in fact Gang Aft A’Gley! Instead of a sunny Jetty scene overlayed with a hint of you style Christmas (As depicted in my image) We have Rain, Rain and yet more Rain. Ithink this is the coldest start to Summer there is on record. Don’t fret for me though as it is still warm enough to get around shirtless most days!

Have a Merry Christmas ALL!
